Last night, I resigned my position as county commissioner (as is required) and officially launched my campaign for county judge.
Have you ever wondered, “What does my county government actually do?” You’re not alone. Even some of our city government officials struggle sometimes to understand all that county government does.
I’m writing you today from Austin, where I’m waiting to testify on your behalf in support of Senate Bill 2 and property tax reform. The House Ways and Means committee is in recess currently, as the members are in session on the House floor. I’ve already registered my support for the bill, and I’ve included my planned testimony below.
With the encouragement of hundreds of dear friends and Collin County neighbors who have already pledged their support, I am excited to announce today that I am exploring a run for Collin County Judge in 2018.
