I kept my promises and stood strong as a consistently courageous champion for private property rights, limited regulation, low property taxes, and government transparency.

In 2020, while other elected officials were busy enforcing lockdowns and making arbitrary lists of essential and non-essential workers, I boldly declared that “Every Texan is essential” and I stood strong to defend the liberties and livelihoods of all Texans. No lockdowns. No business closures. No mask mandates. No vaccine mandates. My response to COVID-19 was measured, thoughtful, strategic – and effective.

The results are clear. Today Collin County is arguably the healthiest, safest, and strongest county in Texas. And Collin County has one of the lowest county property tax rate of all 254 Texas counties and the county leads the way across the State of Texas in economic opportunity and county government efficiency.
